New Zealand has a good network of Internet cafes, which are pretty cheap in the City Centres. Costs go up in out of the cities, but $2 - $10 is a good ballpark figure. Theres also net access in many hostels, some Wifi hotspots and good braodband if you are renting a flat. 3G and GPRS is available on Vodaphone, but be aware PAYG rates are $10 per MB, which is OK for small emails or IM, but not for web surfing.
